On this episode of the Perfect Balance, I speak with the owner and operator of Peter Pan Mini Golf, Maggie Dismukes Massad, about this hole in one experience!
Peter Pan Mini Golf has been an Austin, Texas tradition since 1948 and was started by Maggie’s father as a way to create a fun and exciting environment and was then passed on to her and her husband Julio.
With two 18 course holes, titled East and West, it is impossible to get bored and is fun for the whole family. Rumor has it, the East side is the easier of the two, but give both a try and comment what you think below! With loop-de-loops, rabbits, and a T-rex, you’re in for a challenge. You’ll be putting under turtles and trying to get a hole in one uphill all while viewing the vibrant characters along the way.
The variety of characters this place has will have your head turning at every hole. The entirety of both courses have recently been revamped and painted by a local artist by the name of Cheryl D Latimer to bring the place even more to life than before. She has even created new characters for you to meet on both courses, so even if you have been in the past, a new experience awaits you!
Don’t you pros get too cocky, all the different obstacles and surprises that you will incur on each course are sure to make it a challenging experience. There are so many factors that make this place great and one of those is its hours! Monday through Thursday, Peter Pan Mini Golf is open from 9:00 am – midnight, and open till 1:00 am on Friday and Saturday for endless hours of fun!
